Christmas is just around the corner, and at this time of year many people take a moment to reflect on the past twelve months.

Together with you, we have achieved a great deal over the last year, and we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the positive, trusting and successful cooperation throughout 2025.
It is this special way of working together that has made such a successful year possible in the first place.

We would now like to carry the spirit of our shared efforts forward into the new year 2026. Together with you, we want to make the coming year a success as well.

We are very much looking forward to this continued cooperation, and we firmly believe that we will meet future challenges together in a strong, sustainable way.
Because we know that the challenges ahead of us are best solved through collaboration and joint effort.

Christmas is also always a time for stories. That is why we would like to share a story from the
RM Christmas world with you.
But before we begin, there is something close to our hearts: children, too, love stories and listen to them with shining eyes. Sadly, many children are not able to afford books—and what is even worse, many are not even able to attend school or gain access to education. For this reason, we maintain the tradition of supporting children in need at Christmas time. Once again this year, our Christmas donation is going to the Montessori School in Nepal, led by Basudev Kafle.

And now, let us finally begin with the story from the RM Christmas world:

The Christmas Miracle Behind the Storage Shelves

Once upon a time, at Christmas.

Late at night, it was dark and quiet at RM. Everyone had gone home. But in a hidden, silent corner of the basement—tucked away between shelves filled with titanium, iron and steel bars, between blocks of copper and leftover aluminium, between racks of special parts and barrels filled with sand, copper waste and metal shavings—eRMil discovered an old metal gramophone.
Next to it lay a shellac record, covered in dust and lightly scratched. It looked as though no one had touched it for decades.

That would be a wonderful Christmas surprise,” eRMil thought to himself with a quiet smile, and full of enthusiasm he set about bringing the old device back to life.

Those who know RM well are aware of this: eRMil is the longest-serving employee at RM, the company’s good spirit—never in the spotlight, yet somehow always there.

No matter how much eRMil screwed, filed and hammered, sweat soon poured from every pore. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The horn arm broke off, the casing fell apart at the slightest touch, and the screws crumbled because they were completely rusted.
Still, eRMil carried on bravely, hour after hour. By now it was almost morning. His eyes kept closing with exhaustion, but each time he forced them open again and worked on with determination—after all, he wanted to finish the surprise.

Eventually, exhausted, he fell asleep between tools and metal shavings.

In the morning, the first employees arrived at the workshop and were astonished to find a sleeping eRMil next to the half-finished gramophone parts. When they realised what he had been trying to accomplish, they exchanged a brief glance—and without many words, they got to work.
They milled, turned, welded, polished and rebuilt the old gramophone piece by piece. Everyone contributed their skills, and together they completed what one person alone had not been able to achieve.

When eRMil finally awoke, the gramophone stood in front of him, gleaming like new and ready to play. Deeply moved, he placed the old shellac record onto it.
A long-forgotten RM song filled the room—at first cautiously, then crackling, surprisingly lively and rocking, just like in the old days. Suddenly, everything felt a little lighter, because working to music is simply better.

And perhaps that is our small Christmas miracle behind the storage shelf:
when everyone contributes what they can, something is created that is greater than the sum of its parts.

This is exactly how we experienced the past year with you. And for that, we would like to thank all our customers and partners—for the wonderful cooperation, the trust and everything we have achieved together.

We wish you all a relaxed, musical and joyful Christmas season, and a wonderful start to the new year 2026.

And … we are certain that eRMil would be delighted if you were to scan or click on the QR code below—so that together, accompanied by this long-forgotten RM song, we can bring a little good cheer into the final working days of the year and into the new year ahead.

With warm Christmas greetings
The RM team
